Press Release #05

A prize pool dedicated to the A6 class, an initiative that follows the confirmation of the one-third reduction in registration costs for the series proposed to the participants of the 2020 edition who have not benefited from the prizes: these are the news made official by IRC Sport unless one month after starting the engines.

The march towards the International Rally Cup 2021 continues at a rapid pace.
The series promoted by IRC Sport - in concert with Pirelli - will see the start of its twentieth edition on the roads of the Piancavallo Rally, scheduled for Saturday 1 and Sunday 2 May on the asphalted surfaces "designed" by Knife Racing in the shadow of the Friulian Dolomites.
A commitment, that of the promoters, guaranteeing an attractive offer in terms of content: from the frames offered by the five scheduled appointments to a prize pool worth 246,000 euros, increased in order to be able to "embrace" the A6 class as well. Four thousand euros will be reserved for the first position in the final standings of the comparison between the 1600 cc Group A cars, while, for the second place, the dedicated prize will be two thousand euros.

Among the initiatives in support of practitioners, the drivers enrolled in the 2020 edition who have not benefited from the prizes up for grabs, will be recognized a third of the registration costs for the series incurred in the previous season, reduced to the commitments on the roads of the Casentino International Rally and the Rally City of Bassano. A further "input" with which IRC Sport wanted to greet the "Twenty Year" edition, returning the confidence expressed by the plateau of participants in a particular season like the previous one.

Registrations for the 20th edition of the International Rally Cup will remain open until the entire day of Sunday 25 April, allowing drivers and teams to formalize their membership for the purposes of assigning the scores relating to the Piancavallo Rally, through the official website. of IRC available at
