SIX-FIGURE PRIZES IN THE 2021 INTERNATIONAL RALLY CUP:
240,000 EUROS TO TOAST THE "TWENTY YEAR"
100,000 euros dedicated to the overall ranking, the rest up for grabs to enhance the comparison in the remaining groupings. The first three "absolute" of the Power Stage were awarded at each race with a supply of two Pirelli tires. Confirmed, in each of the five events, a prize for the first three teams classified.
Unveiled extra large lines, the prize pool dedicated by IRC Sport to the twentieth edition of the International Rally Cup: € 240,000 to be divided between the protagonists of the overall standings and the four groups foreseen, with an eye also towards the teams. An initiative based on the solid foundations that have always distinguished the series reserved for lovers of tarred funds. Among these, the solid link with the Pirelli brand, an integral part of the prize pool with the supply of two tires to the top three drivers of the overall classification in the Power Stage of each race.
100.000 EURO DEDICATED TO THE ABSOLUTE RANKING.
Four, the positions of the overall ranking affected by the prize pool: 40,000 euros reserved for the final winner, 30,000 euros for the second classified, 20,000 euros for the third, 10,000 euros for the fourth. Awards that, over the years, have further enhanced the comparison between the cars of the "attic", distinguished by the presence of many exponents of the national rally scene.
FOUR, THE "TWENTY YEAR" GROUPINGS.
A thick prize pool that will embrace all the groups envisaged by the 2021 format, with cash awards reserved for the protagonists of the final championship standings.
The novelty is represented by the creation of a Two Wheel Drive Trophy: a grouping that will involve the cars of the S1600, R3, Rally 4 and A7 classes and which will be reserved for the first classified, the sum of 20,000 euros, the second 10,000 euros and third 5,000 euros. The prize money dedicated to S2000, N4 and R4 cars is bound to the achievement of a minimum number of members, with 10,000 euros for the winner in the presence of at least five members and 5,000 euros with at least three. The sums up for grabs in the comparison reserved for the R2B class cars, the “aspirated”, are also attractive, with 18,000 euros for the first classified, 10,000 euros for the second, 7,000 euros for the third and 5,000 euros for the fourth. Competition is expected in the grouping reserved for N2, A5 and R1 class cars. Perspectives supported by the € 10,000 for the winner, € 5,000 for the second place and € 3,000 for the third.
CONFIRMED THE PRIZE MONTE DEDICATED TO TEAMS.
An appreciated confirmation, the one that sees protagonists - also in this edition - the teams enrolled in the International Rally Cup, involved in a confrontation that - in each of the five races on the calendar - will reserve awards for the first three classified teams: 3,000 euros dedicated to the first position, € 2,000 in second place and € 1,000 in third place.
THE “START” IN MAY, WITH THE PIANCAVALLO RALLY.
Five, as already made official by IRC Sport, are the appointments that will characterize the twentieth edition of the International Rally Cup. To inaugurate the Pirelli "branded" series will be the asphalt of the Rally Piancavallo, scheduled for 1-2 May, theater of evolutions which - in the last weekend of the month - will see the spotlight turn to the special stages of the International Taro Rally. A phase of great intensity that will have its continuation on the kilometers of the Casentino International Rally, an appointment scheduled for 2-3 July that will call the series to the "turning point", with its interpreters intent on catalyzing mental and physical energies towards the final rush, characterized by the particularities offered by the Rally Appennino Reggiano, on 27-28 August and by the Rally Città di Bassano, an appointment that - on 22 and 23 October - will send the edition that will celebrate the twentieth anniversary to the archive. A story that deserves to be honored in the best possible way, reserving a prominent context and a prize pool with increasingly captivating characters for the plateau of participants.
