Press Release #01

The twentieth edition of the International Rally Cup will be divided into five events. IRC Sport, promoter of the Pirelli "branded" series, has unveiled the first lines of a project aimed at maximizing the sporting commitment lavished by its protagonists, expected for miles of high quality content. The asphalt of the Rally Piancavallo, scheduled for 1-2 May, will inaugurate the edition of the Twentieth Anniversary, the scene of evolutions that - in the last weekend of the month - will see the spotlights turned on again and directed towards the special stages of the Rally International of Taro. A phase of great intensity that will have its continuation on the kilometers of the Casentino International Rally, an appointment scheduled for 2-3 July that will call the series to the "turning point", with its interpreters intent on catalyzing mental and physical energies towards the final rush, characterized by the particularities offered by the Rally Appennino Reggiano, on 27-28 August and by the Rally Città di Bassano, an appointment that - on 22 and 23 October - will send the programming to the archive.

"An edition that we want to make unique in the history of our championship, leveraging the now consolidated ambition of our working group - the comment of Loriano Norcini, International Rally Cup coordinator - so that these intentions can materialize, we have paid particular attention promotional aspect. We will be alongside our crews throughout the season, placing them at the center of our project. Soon, we will also reveal the details of the dedicated prize pool, designed to meet the expectations of those who want to renew their trust in us and all those who want to participate in a particular edition such as that of the Twentieth anniversary ".

The champion of the previous edition - downsized by the epidemiological emergency from Covid-19 - was Damiano De Tommaso, at the wheel of the Skoda Fabia R5. A prestigious encore for the driver from Varese, a "leader" also in the 2019 edition.
